Meet the Project Leaders

We’ve formed a team that will bring experience, expertise and a depth of understanding of agriculture, leadership and people development to this work and you resulting in a co-designed and cared about strategy to guide future activities.

Jo Eady, Director of RuralScope

Jo is a leadership expert, researcher and project manager who has 20+ years of experience in the design and development of grounded, practical leadership strategy, frameworks and initiatives reflective of industry needs. She is known for her ability to grasp complex issues and support others to come together to co-design solutions and then progress pathways to change. She has led national leadership strategy, initiatives and programs across the Australian cotton, grains, beef and rice breeding sectors. Relevant projects include;

  • Australian Future Cotton Leaders Program,
  • Australian Grain Leaders Program,
  • Australian Grains Industry Social Leadership Initiatives eg Grains100,
  • Australian Beef Connections Leadership Program and
  • 3 yr strategy to support the leadership capability of the Australian rice breeding sector.

Dr Nicole McDonald, Researcher

Nicole has 15 years of extensive past and current experience in capability focussed research via investments through the Fisheries, Research and Development Corporation and the Cotton Research and Development Corporation. Projects include;

  • FRDC- Navigating Leadership Pathways and Diverse Learning Approaches and Knowledge Transfer for Change.
  • CRDC – Delivery of Best Practise for Management of Future Workforce Skills, Attracting Young People to the Cotton Industry and Understanding and Planning for the Future Australian Cotton WorkForce.
