Ten Keys to Happier Living

LEADERSHIP is as much about WELLBEING as it is about anything else.  That's what we think anyway!  It's great to be a leader BUT we really want you to be a happy one, NOT a leader at the expense of happiness.  We know that happiness means different things to each of you and that the pathways to happiness are different for each individual.  Stop for a minute and think about yourself and other leaders that you know in your business / organisation, community and or industry.  How many of them are happy leaders??  And remember it is how we interact with the outside world in our daily activities and how our attitude to life comes from inside us that matters most.  Today I am sharing this fabulous poster from Action for Happiness based in London.... yep HAPPINESS is a global aspiration.  It's a great one, take a look.....

10 New Year Wellbeing Tips

I am always bombarded with an array of workshop, webinar, teleseminar and conference offers at the beginning of the year. Most of them are about learning the business secrets to increasing cash flow, improving marketing, setting up a to die for business plan, getting your head around how to use social media for your business etc etc.... the list is actually endless.  And yep, each new year, I get caught up in the "I really should attend / participate..." mentality and then when I don't make the effort feel pretty lousy! This year, I did something different.......

A Simple Meditation Technique

Meditation or "dhyana" is a form of concentration. It allows your mind to to focus on one thing and to detach from what's going on in the world around you.  Its like finding a safe place in the eye of a storm.  And when practised regularly it can contribute to the relief of stress and anxiety - things which build up in all of us over time. Let's face it, not a day goes by when we don't feel some sort of stress, so to be able to pause for a few minutes each day and sit in stillness has to have benefits.  Benefits Research tells us that regular meditation creates a calmer person, decreases feelings of anger, supports our nervous system, helps us sleep better, regulates our emotions and helps us to develop greater concentration.  With all these benefits, who wouldn't want to give it a go. We include meditation as part of all the Leadership Programs we develop - YES right alongside topics such as communicating for success, developing your brand, dealing with difficult people etc etc and people love it!  Here is a simple meditation technique for you to try, love to hear how it goes for you.....
