About Jo

Jo Eady is Director and lead consultant with RuralScope. She is responsible for the design and development of RuralScope programs, activities and solutions. Examples of her work include, facilitation of the formation of the Australian National Rural Womens Coalition, development of the first formal strategic plan for Cotton Australia, facilitation of a merger of a number of cotton industry organisations to enhance industry leverage, executive level advice and support to two of Australia’s largest pastoral companies, developer and facilitator of the Australian Future Cotton Leader, Australian Future Grain Leader and Australian Grain Farm Leadership Programs and she has supported over 2500 clients on their own leadership journey via programs, workshops and coaching / mentoring arrangements.

Jo grew up in a small dairy farming community in Victoria. This is where her love for people, communication and crating positive change commenced. She was a key member of her family farming enterprises from an early age and fondly recalls business meetings around the kitchen table and discussions about industry issues, leadership and challenges. And she experienced the social connections of clubs, sport and cultural events and began an understanding of capacity building and the value of the social fabric of communities.

Jo holds a range of qualifications in education,  psychology  management  coaching and counselling

Jo is a Certified Daring Way Facilitator.  The Daring Way is a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr Brene Brown. 

Jo is also a licensed provider and experienced facilitator of a range of human synergistic assessments and tools, including the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MTBI), a globally recognised and evidenced people development tool. 

Jo is a pioneer of people development and capacity building in the Australian agricultural and rural sectors. She quickly understands the needs of her client and is able to tailor solutions based on desired outcomes and budget. It is common for clients to comment on value for money based on reach, impact, outcomes and influence and RuralScope has a high re-engagement rate.
